This Breedlove Premier Parlor Guitar is paired with a Sitka top and Mahogany for the back and sides, was built during 2016 in Bend, Oregon. This discontinued, lovely small bodied guitar is in very good, clean condition and has a full, well balanced tone with plenty of sparkle and warmth. It plays very nicely and is a real sonic pleasure to play.
For materials, the Breedlove Premier Parlor Guitar has a Sitka Spruce top. The sides, back, body blocks, linings and neck are Mahogany, with Ebon for the head plate, bridge and fingerboard. The position markers are small Puaa dots, on the bass side of the fingerboard for the lower octave and on the treble side above the 12th fret.
An under saddle LR Baggs EAS VTC pickup system is stock; the volume and tone controls are tucked under the bass edge of the soundhole and the battery bag is fixed to the upper bass side of the back. Tuners are chrome with Ebony buttons.
The finish is clear gloss and is in very good shape. Fret wear is also very light.
This Breedlove Premier Parlor Guitar is sold with its original hard shell case.
As a company, Breedlove has been building guitars since 1992. The two founders, Larry Breedlove and Steve Henderson, had been working as luthiers for Taylor Guitars and in 1990 moved to Tumalo, Oregon – near Bend – to work on new designs. Two years after launching those designs, they were joined by Larry’s brother Kim Breedlove. In 2010, the company was purchased by Two Old Hippies led by Tom Bedell, and they are still in Bend.
