Instrument Categories: Acoustic Steel String, Discontinued, Guitars, SOLD
Comments | Today we’re visiting with a Boucher Guitars Studio Escrioto Goose. This new guitar, built in Berthier-sur-Mer, a bit east of Quebec City, Quebec, is a take on the classic herringbone dreadnought design and shows why that has been such a successful design. It’s a well-built, wonderful sounding guitar using the traditional combination of mahogany for the neck, ebony for the fingerboard, Adirondack spruce for the top, but not so traditionally, Palo Escrito for the back and sides.
Palo Escrito or Dalbergia Palescrito, is a type of rosewood originating in Central America, and it’s daily gaining respect and use in high quality instruments as a non-endangered replacement for South American rosewoods. It helps provide full, solid bass with clear trebles, strong projection, and good separation between chorded notes. Please note, this model has been discontinued and we are sold out. |
