Neck	Mahoganby neck with flame-maple bound ebony fingerboard. Mother of Pearl Beard logo on headstock, ebony truss rod cover. Mother of Pearl dot markers.
Frets	12 medium frets to the body, 19 in total.
Body	Unique jumbo style body, Mahogany top, back and sides with flame meple binding. Tuned oval soundhole with purfled decoration. Mahogany soundwell with flame maple accents.
Finish	Gloss sunburst finish.
Hardware/electronics	Beard spider with hand-spun resonator, Beard Solar coverplate, JD (Jerry Douglas) pickup installed with jack on tailblock, Waverley tuners.
Playability/Action	Plays great right out of the shipping carton, and we will of course set it up to the player’s requirements.
Case	Hardshell, flat top ‘Canadian’ TKL case included.
Comments	As a round neck instrument, the Beard Odyssey is a departure from Paul Beard’s usual construction style. The tuned oval soundhole and jumbo body shape give it significantly more bottom end and fullness than resonators usually have. The Beard ‘Solar’ coverplate is really attractive. This is an excellent instrument with a unique look.
