Here’s something unusual – an Alvarez Veillette Baritone Guitar. Joe Veillette is well known for having produced high-quality and innovative basses, in partnership with other builders like Harvey Citron and Michael Tobias.
Veillette-Citron basses were pioneers in the now-common neck-through-body design and the use of highly figured woods. In the 1990s, Veillette worked with Michael Tobias and designed a range of acoustic, baritone and bass guitars for Alvarez, who produced them in various plants.
This Alvarez Veillette Baritone would be from that period. It’s got a 28 inch scale maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, an alder body, two single coil pickups and a piezo pickup in the bridge. It plays well, and is in good shape with just one chip near the edge on the back.
Serial Number: 602709. Built in Korea for Alvarez in agreement with Veillette.
Pricing: $550.00 with gig bag
