Brand: Supro
Instrument Categories: Electric, Guitars, SOLD, Solidbody
By the late 1950’s electric guitars and rock music were really taking off and guitars like the Supro DualTone flooded the market to try to keep up with demand. The need was so great that companies like Gibson and Fender could not keep up, especially at the lower and middle areas of the market.
Built during 1959 in Chicago, Illinois, this Supro DualTone still wears its white finish and is in mostly original condition. Fret wear is moderate to heavy, especially in the lower positions, but it is set up for slide – where these guitars really excel. This version has two magnetic pickups, but not the piezo bridge element. The pickguard is cracked towards the output jack. A reproduction pickguard is included. The original grey rectangular hard case is included.
