Influenced heavily by the Sheraton used by Noel Gallagher in Oasis, the Epiphone Supernova was built from 1997 to 2005, with a signature pickguard and features making it the Noel Gallagher Supernova. It was available in a variety of finishes including the Manchester Blue seen here, and a custom Union Jack graphic.

Built from 1999 to 2007, the PRS Santana II updated the Santana I model introduced in 1995, and was succeeded by the Santana III. All followed the same basic formula of a carved Maple cap on a Mahogany body, with a set Mahogany neck and 11.5 inch radius Rosewood fingerboard. The PRS Santana II has been the most expensive of the three models, with Artist-grade matched flamed Maple tops, high grade and Brazilian Rosewood for the fingerboard and head plate.

MORE →The Fender Eric Clapton Signature model first appeared as a production model in 1998, though the first were built for and used EC himself in 1986. This model is based on Clapton’s ‘Blackie’ Strat which he’d put together from several Strats, but it’s not a slavish copy.

MORE →The Fender Thinline Telecaster was introduced in 1969 as a design by Roger Rossmeisl, who had done major work for Rickenbacker. There have been a few versions of this model, and this particular 1998 example seems to me one of the best ever.
Here’s a rarity! This is a Goya T-Style copy, built during 1977 by Matsumoku in Nagoya, Japan, under contract to the Martin Guitar company. This Goya T-Style guitar is a decent copy, though not exact. Unusually, it is complete and original, with the ‘Ashtray’ bridge cover and the original hard shell case. The body is Ash, and the neck is Maple, but the fingerboard is a separate Maple slab.
