❌SOLD❌ Gibson Byrdland Thinline Archtop with Venetian Cutaway Sunburst, 1975

This Gibson Byrdland dates to 1974 and was built at the Gibson Nashville plant, and carries the Venetian cutaway. It is in overall good condition though the original case and pickguard are gone. This guitar has been used as intended, so it has some wear, dings and dents. The finish has some natural checking, and fingernail marks around the treble volume control. The frets are fairly low but still playable. The electronics and hardware other than the volume / tone knobs are original. The tuners are gold-plated Grover Imperials with metal tulip shaped buttons, and of course the engraved Byrdland tailpiece is there.

❌SOLD❌ Fender Stratocaster Hard Tail Black, 1973

This Fender Stratocaster guitar features the classic finished one piece Maple neck, with the new from 1971 3-bolt MicroTilt neck and hex-key ‘Bullet’ truss rod adjuster at the head. The MicroTilt and Bullet adjuster are extremely practical features, allowing rapid adjustments to the guitar’s setup, without disassembling it. Many earlier Fender models have damaged pickguards from truss rod adjustments with the neck on – a flat screwdriver would frequently be used and dig into the pickguard.

The Gibson ES-339 was a hit from its introduction in 2007 using the concept and classic lines of the ES-335, but with a scaled down body. All of the other features line up between the two models – the scale lengths, neck sizes and hardware are the same. The build quality is identical, with Maple laminates for the body, Mahogany for the neck and a Rosewood fingerboard. The headstock logos and position markers are Mother of Pearl.

❌ SOLD ❌ Gibson Keb Mo Steel String Guitar Sunburst 2014

❌ SOLD ❌ Gibson Keb Mo Steel String Guitar Sunburst 2014

The Gibson Keb Mo model uses the L-body, with a 12-fret neck design that puts the bridge close to the vibrating center of the Adirondack Red Spruce top. The back, sides and neck are Mahogany, a pairing that provides a crisp, sparkling clarity and good note separation. The fingerboard and bridge are East Indian Rosewood. The body is bound with a creme ivoroid and herringbone purfling. Herringbone was a very common guitar decoration right up until World War II, but it came from Germany and when US stocks ran out, they couldn’t be replenished. Most subsequent instruments used plainer, multi-layer purfling. The tuning gears are Grover Sta-Tite models.
