Graf now builds north of Kingston, in Westport, Ontario.Born in Berlin, Oskar Graf has been building instruments since 1970 and is very highly regarded; his guitars are used by many top players. MORE →In 1962, the Gretsch 6120 Double Cutaway model appeared, displacing the classic but aging single-cutaway deep body 6120 and bearing the new, sealed Electrotone body. This closed body first appeared on the 1961 Tennessean.The new double cutaway version came about through a number of influences. In particular, Gibson hand introduced their very successful ES-335 models, and Chet Atkins felt the Electrotone body worked better at stage volumes.

Presently, this model is only available with a 12-fret neck.Built using a non-cutaway Grand Concert body style – similar in dimensions and proportions to the Martin 000/OM body size – the Taylor 522e 14 Fret uses Mahogany for the top, back, sides, neck, and body blocks.
