Here is an unusual item! Built during 2014 in Guanajuato, Mexico, this is a J Perfecto Rubio Estudio model; the builder is a cousin of famed luthier German Vazquez Rubio of Los Angeles, who worked for Bernardo Rico when B C Rich models were new. We do not see many Mexican-built guitars in Canada, and in that number, high quality models like this are even rarer.
The Twelfth Fret
Seen here is a Turrentine Elegy N-60 concert classical built during 2019 in the shop of Zebulon Turrentine, in the Tennessee Appalachian mountains. The Turrentine Elegy N-60 features a Red Cedar top, lattice braced with strategically placed carbon fibre bars.

This guitar appears to have been never played and there is no play wear at all. The original protective plastic film is still on PG and backplate! Some of the red-gold colouring on the metal components has light tarnish and that’s it. Aside from that, this guitar is as-new.

The initial models were built by Gibson as the Chet Atkins CEC (Cutaway Electric Classic). Eventually, Gibson discontinued the model but Godin took the concept and improved it dramatically, even including synthesizer interface electronics.
