❌ SOLD ❌ SS Stewart Sunburst Steel String Acoustic Guitar, 1930s

The SS Stewart company, named for Samuel Swain Stewart was a major producer of banjos between 1878 and 1904, and was bought by B&J (Bugellsein & Jacobson) a few years after Stewart’s death. Over the years, B&J shifted to producing mostly guitars with the brand, had many companies build the actual instruments including Chicago Musical Instruments, who also built Harmony, Kay, and Silvertone brands. At the end of the 1920s and the start of the 1930’s, both C F Martin and Gibson also produced some SS Stewart guitars.

NO LONGER AVAILABLE!!! Gibson 1941 SJ-100 Jumbo Steel String Guitar, 2013

NO LONGER AVAILABLE!!! Gibson 1941 SJ-100 Jumbo Steel String Guitar, 2013

The Gibson 1941 SJ-100, built in Bozeman Montana, recreates one of the rarest Gibson acoustics – the SJ-100, using a Super Jumbo body with Mahogany back and sides. These were first introduced in 1939, replaced in 1941 but rapidly discontinued with under 180 built.
The 1941 SJ-100 uses Sitka Spruce for the top and braces, Mahogany for the back, sides and neck, and Indian Rosewood for the fingerboard and bridge. An L R Baggs Element pickup is installed at the factory, like most modern Gibson acoustics, and it’s ready to go. The headstock shape is very reminiscent of the late 1930’s and 1940’s pegheads, with a Mother of Pearl script Gibson logo.

❌SOLD❌ Huss and Dalton TOM-M Torrefied OM Mahogany Steel String

❌SOLD❌ Huss and Dalton TOM-M Torrefied OM Mahogany Steel String

The Huss and Dalton TOM-M was our on staff expert, Mike Gray’s favourite guitar at the 2017 NAMM show.   The name means that it has a Torrefied spruce top on an OM or Orchestra Model size body that has Mahogany back and sides.   Torrefaction is a process of carefully heat-treating tonewoods to simulate the effects of decades of aging, and helps produce a warmer,  open tone – helping a new, relatively unplayed instrument sound and respond as if it had years of being played.
As with all Huss and Dalton instruments, the fit, finish and attention to detail is unmatched.  These guitars play very well, sound great, and are very responsive.

❌SOLD❌ Webber Jumbo Soft Cutaway Steel String Guitar, 2007 REDUCED

❌SOLD❌ Webber Jumbo Soft Cutaway Steel String Guitar, 2007 REDUCED

The Webber Jumbo body is an elegant guitar, combining the upper bout shape of an OM Style guitar with a large, circular lower bout. This tight-waisted guitar is smaller at 16 inches across than most conventional jumbo designs. As it is also slightly shallower, the body fits comfortably under the player’s arm. It delivers a big, well defined bass response with a strong mid range, making this guitar a great choice for Jazz comping or rhythm accompaniment.
Dating to 2007, this Webber Jumbo includes the Soft Cutaway option, which is a bit shorter or ‘softer’ than most traditional Venetian cutaways. In very good condition with very little wear, it is built with a Sitka Spruce top and Indian Rosewood for the back and sides.

❌ SOLD ❌ C. F. Martin OM-45 Marquis Steel String Guitar, 2004

❌ SOLD ❌ C. F. Martin OM-45 Marquis Steel String Guitar, 2004

The C. F. Martin OM-45 Marquis is a top of the line instrument, built like the Golden Era line but with Indian instead of Brazilian Rosewood. It would be the crown jewel in anyone’s guitar collection! The top and its vintage-scalloped bracing are Adirondack Spruce. The nut and saddle are definitely special, made of fossilized Ivory. This is a 45 style guitar, so it uses an abalone shell liner for the perimeter and soundhole, Snowflake fingerboard inlay set and Martin headstock logo. The neck is mahogany with a bound ebony fingerboard. And, there’s a K & K pickup installed!
