The L series first appeared in the 1980’s and the balanced body shows the clear influence of classical builders, like Edgar Monch, that Larrivee was exposed to during his early days in Toronto.

The round shoulder mahogany dreadnought body and spruce top produces a warm, rich tone that works really well with voice. In the form seen here, with no cutaway, the 615 was built from 1981 to 1998. At that point, it gained a cutaway and pickup and became the 615ce and was finally discontinued in 2011.
