This guitar dates to October 2, 2012 with a build code of 915 15 20 00 CS CR, and comes from the Ernie Ball Music Man shop in San Luis Obispo. ❌SOLD❌ Fender Jazz Bass 1975 Reissue Natural, 2001

❌SOLD❌ Fender Jazz Bass 1975 Reissue Natural, 2001

The Fender Jazz Bass used the same proven Fender construction, with an Alder or Ash body and bolt on Maple neck. At 1960, Fender was learning how to add Rosewood fingerboards to their necks, and this was partly to win Gibson players over. The Jazz Bass had the new ‘offset’ body style, and a pair of single coil pickups. The earliest models used two concentric pots, each controlling volume and tone for one pickup. This soon gave way to the modern layout, of two volumes and one master tone control.

❌SOLD❌ Fender Sting Precision Bass Sunburst, 2004

❌SOLD❌ Fender Sting Precision Bass Sunburst, 2004

The Fender Sting Precision Bass is based on the 1953 bass used by Gordon Sumner – Sting – on his recording and performances with The Police and solo work. It was built between 2001 and 2013 at the Fuji Gen plant in Matsumoto, Japan for Fender Japan. Introduced in 1951, the Fender Precision bass is a landmark instrument, and influenced the way that music is performed and presented. Easily and consistently providing a precise pitch – hence the ‘Precision’ name – was a new concept for bassists, who all used upright, acoustic fretless instruments.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Moderne Heritage Limited Edition, 1982

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Moderne Heritage Limited Edition, 1982

Here’s one of the rarest of all Gibson guitars – the Gibson Moderne, designed and registered in 1958 but not put into production until 1982! The Gibson Moderne, however, existed only in design or a vanishingly small number of prototypes – which did in fact vanish. The Moderne was a thing of legend until 1982, with the introduction of the ‘Heritage’ series and the Gibson Moderne Heritage, built as the originals were, of Korina or African Limba (technically named Terminalia Superba).

❌SOLD❌ Fender Telecaster Rosewood Fingerboard Sunburst, 1978

❌SOLD❌ Fender Telecaster Rosewood Fingerboard Sunburst, 1978

Here’s a very nice, clean Fender Telecaster with Rosewood fingerboard and Sunburst finish coming to us from the year 1978! Leo Fender introduced the Telecaster as the Broadcaster in 1950, but rapidly had to drop the name as Gretsch was using it for a line of drums. ‘NoCasters’ were shipped for a short while during 1951 until new non-infringing ‘Telecaster’ decals and other materials were prepared. Since then, many changes have been made to the instrument without significant alteration to the core design.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson U2 ‘SuperStrat’ Metallic Green, 1989

❌SOLD❌ Gibson U2 'SuperStrat' Metallic Green, 1989

During the 1980s popular music made new demands on guitarists, and the ‘SuperStrat’, including the Gibson U2 model, became the go-to design for countless musicians. As the name suggests, the ‘SuperStrat’ concept improves on many aspects of the Stratocaster design – particularly in the range of available vibrato systems and pickup options. Many guitars in this genre use locking vibratos, a mix of high-output single coil and humbucking pickups, and wiring that ranges from very simple to rather complex.
