❌SOLD❌ Ernie Ball Music Man Albert Lee SSS Hardtail Cherry Red, 2005

❌SOLD❌ Ernie Ball Music Man Albert Lee SSS Hardtail Cherry Red, 2005

The Ernie Ball Music Man Albert Lee line has become one of my favourites and I wish I’d had one years ago – even if it wouldn’t have made me sound like Albert Lee!
Introduced in 1993, the Ernie Ball Music Man Albert Lee SSS was available only in hard tail 1996, when the Vintage Trem was an optional extra. Now, there are several versions of the model, with a pair of humbuckers, three narrow single coils, or three P-90s and the Music Man Silent Circuit, an active system that delivers noise cancellation to single coil pickups.

❌SOLD❌ Ernie Ball Music Man Silhouette Special SSS Vintage Burst, 2003

Introduced in 1995, the Ernie Ball Music Man Silhouette Special is based closely on the Silhouette, but adds the very useful Silent Circuit, rendering standard single coils noiseless. The Silhouette Special features an Alder body with a gloss Vintage Sunburst finish that also appears on the headstock front. The neck has a 10 inch radius and Gun Oil finish on its length; the headstock itself has a gloss finish, matching sunburst on the front and clear on the sides and back of the head.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Custom Sunburst, 1979

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Custom Sunburst, 1979

Here we’re looking at a Gibson Les Paul Custom Sunburst, dating to March 27 1979 and still built at the historic Kalamazoo plant. It has all the characteristics of the Norlin ownership era, from 1970 to 1983. These include a Maple neck rather than Mahogany, a decreased pitch for the headstock, and a volute behind the truss rod adjuster cavity. These changes were intended to reduce the number of broken headstocks.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Goldtop, 1969

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Goldtop, 1969

The Gibson Les Paul Deluxe was built from late 1968 to 1985, and used an original style body layout and finish. The pickup cavities reflect the use of P90 pickups, though what was installed was a ‘New York’ mini humbucker mounted in a modified P90 cover, all in a gold top finish. Gibson launched the Les Paul in 1952, using a now-classic pairing of a Maple top on a Mahogany body, with a Mahogany neck and bound Rosewood fingerboard. By late 1952, the design was modified to increase the neck angle allowing better action and breakover at the bridge saddles and in 1954, the new Tune-O-Matic and Stop Tailpiece were added.
