❌SOLD❌ Fender Mustang Dakota Red, 1965

Appearing in 1964 as part of a revamp of Fender’s entry level line, the Fender Mustang Dakota Red was the lowest priced model that included a tremolo tailpiece. The Mustang was also available in Blue and White. In 1965, following the sale of Fender to CBS, the Mustang – along with other models – received some immediate rebranding. The serial number plate and the tuning machine casings were stamped with a letter F.   On the Mustang, the headstock was also enlarged, a change also applied to the Stratocaster.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Batwing SG Standard, Cherry 2005

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Batwing SG Standard, Cherry 2005

The Gibson Batwing SG made its debut in 1966, with an extended pickguard covering the top above, between and below the strings, and also supporting the pickups. These were produced until 1971, at which point the SG Deluxe replaced it. The SG has been used by many players over the years, and the Gibson Batwing SG is very frequently seen in the hands of the great Angus Young of AC/DC. The large ‘batwing’ pickguard is well suited to an active playing style. It offers significant protection to the finish. And, incidentally, much easier pickup and electronic maintenance. That can be a real bonus for a touring musician!

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Studio ‘Les Paul 100’ Manhattan Midnight Blue, 2015

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Studio 'Les Paul 100' Manhattan Midnight Blue, 2015

The Gibson Les Paul Studio line delivers all the core features of a Les Paul at a lower price, and this is largely achieved by reducing decoration. The body and neck are not bound, and the Maple top is a ‘B’ grade, which is a visual rating (and it should be noted that many historic ‘Gold Top’ models also used Maple of this grade). However, there’s no skimping on the hardware.

❌SOLD❌ Ernie Ball Music Man Bongo 5 HH Bass Burgundy, 2011

Introduced in 2003 and still in production, the Ernie Ball Music Man Bongo 5 HH Bass features active electronics for its pair of humbucking pickups. At its core, the Bongo bass draws from the classic, proven bolt-on designs developed during the early 1950s. However, it is considerably more advanced and available in 4, 5 and 6 string versions, all with 24 frets. These are very versatile, reliable basses with a huge range.

❌SOLD❌ Nash T-63 Relic T Style Guitar Vintage Burst, 2011

❌SOLD❌ Nash T-63 Relic T Style Guitar Vintage Burst, 2011

The Nash T-63 is an imagining of a 1963 T guitar that’s been heavily used over many years and showing significant finish relic wear. Built in the USA by Bill Nash in his shop in Washington state, Nash guitars offer many options including pickup types, finishes and binding. Here we’re looking at a Nash T-63 in a reliced vintage sunburst, built likely during 2011. This recalls one of the most successful and profound factory modifications of the original Telecaster, the introduction of the Rosewood fingerboard.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson SG Standard Tribute Walnut 2019

❌SOLD❌ Gibson SG Standard Tribute Walnut 2019

The Gibson SG Standard first appeared in 1961 as a radical update to the Les Paul model, and bore the Les Paul name until 1963. This change had two drivers – one, Les Paul himself was not overly fond of the design, and his endorsement association with Gibson was coming to an end, partly due to complications with his divorce from Mary Ford. With the change in name, the Les Paul models disappeared from production until 1968, its resurgence sparked by the combination of that guitar and Marshall stacks as used by British blues-influenced players.
