This Gibson Tal Farlow is a rare model. Named after the renowned jazz guitarist Tal Farlow, who played Gibson guitars throughout the ’50s where this model was designed to meet Farlow’s demands for a guitar that combined superb playability with a rich, resonant tone.

The Hammertone Deluxe Mandotar is a very interesting instrument. Built in George Furlanetto’s FBass workshop in Hamilton, Ontario and drawing from the 1964 – 1968 Vox Mando Guitar or Octave 12, these are like a solidbody electric 12 string with a capo at the octave fret. The size and layout is much like a mandolin.

MORE →The Eastman AR910CE LH – Left Handed – is pretty much the top of the Eastman line of archtop electrics, with solid wood throughout and carved top and back. It’s fairly unusual to see an available high quality left-handed archtop. The top and its bracing are solid Spruce, paired with nicely flamed and matched Flame Maple for the sides and back.
The Ramirez 1a or Tradicional, seen here with a Spruce top, has for been a benchmark of top quality classical and flamenco guitars for over half a century. The 1a designation technically refers to the quality of the materials and workmanship, but has become associated with the Tradicional model.

MORE →Here’s an interesting Fender 1952 Telecaster Vintage Reissue from the original 1982 Vintage Series built in Fullerton, California while CBS still owned the company. The Fender 1952 Telecaster Vintage Reissue body is lightweight Ash paired with a one-piece Maple neck having the Walnut insert for the truss rod cavity. The ‘Butterscotch’ finish is very much like the original 1952 models, and is nitrocellulose lacquer.
