❌SOLD❌ Deering Sierra Maple 5-String Banjo, Walnut, 2010

The Sierra is Deering’s most popular banjo, because it delivers what really matters to a banjo’s performance in an affordable package. In the optional Maple version, it has a brighter and more focused tone. In addition to the Maple rim, resonator and neck, the Sierra has an Ebony fingerboard and composite inlays. This is a Deering Sierra built during 2010 in Spring Valley, California, in good overall condition with the optional ‘railroad spike’ capo tacks installed. It has been set up in our shop by Anne Hartman and the action is set to 5/64ths. The original Deering hard shell case is included.

❌SOLD❌ Hagstrom Super Swede Sunburst, 1983

❌SOLD❌ Hagstrom Super Swede Sunburst, 1983

The Hagstrom Super Swede, built from 1979 until Hagstrom closed in 1983, was the last of the top quality guitars from the venerable Swedish builder. The original Swede used a bolt-on neck, and one of the Super Swede’s upgrades is a set neck.   This Super Swede dates to 1983 at the Hagstrom Alvaden plant, and features a dark red sunburst.  It is in overall very good condition, and is complete and original except for the case – a Japanese hard shell case is included. The body and neck are solid maple, and the bound fingerboard is Indian Rosewood.

❌SOLD❌ Azola Lightning Bug Upright Electric Bass, 2009

❌SOLD❌ Azola Lightning Bug Upright Electric Bass, 2009

Azola Lightning Bug Basses – and other Azola Electric Upright Basses or EUB’s – were built from 2001 at the Azola shop in California until Azola ceased production in 2010. Azola started building in 1994 with a rebuild of the classic Ampeg Baby Bass. While putting together his Baby Bass prototype, Azola thoughtfully approached Ampeg for authorization. The results were positive – not only was Ampeg supportive, but when they decided to formally re-issue the classic Baby Bass, they asked Azola to build them!
