❌SOLD❌ Gretsch G6120 DS Nashville Archtop Electric Guitar Orange, 2003

The Gretsch G6120 DS Nashville is based on 1955-56 6120 models equipped with single coil deArmond DynaSonic pickups. Built for a short time starting in 2003, it is a ‘dressed down’ version of the G6120 DSV – it lacks the Western-style decorative G brand on the body and engraved block inlays.

❌SOLD❌ Guild F5CE-NT Thin Steel String Natural Top, 1996

This example Guild F5CE dates to 1996, and is in overall good condition. It has been used as intended, so there is expected play wear, but that’s a testament to how useful it is. The original chrome Grover Roto-Matics have been replaced with Gold plated Roto-Matics, but otherwise it is in original condition.

❌ SOLD ❌ David Nichols 00 Body Steel String Guitar, 2002

❌ SOLD ❌ David Nichols 00 Body Steel String Guitar, 2002

Here’s a rare treat – from 2002, a David Nichols 00 Body Steel String Guitar, at Custom Pearl Inlay in Whippleville, New York. Nichols has been the mainstay of the C F Martin inlay department since the late 1960’s and builds guitars and mandolins under his own name. This fine instrument is in very good condition. Built using the classic Martin 00 design, this guitar uses Bearclaw-figured Sitka Spruce for the top, Brazilian Rosewood for the back, sides and headplate, Mahogany for the neck and Ebony for the fingerboard and bridge. The top is braced with a forward shifted, scalloped layout.

❌ SOLD ❌ Guild Songbird Thin Body Acoustic Electric Black, 1990

❌ SOLD ❌ Guild Songbird Thin Body Acoustic Electric Black, 1990

Designed by George Gruhn with the staff at Guild, built from 1984 to 1991, this thin-bodied acoustic electric guitar has an under-saddle pickup with controls on the side. These are common features now, but at the time they were groundbreaking. The Guild Songbird Thin Body Acoustic Electric features a spruce top paired with mahogany for the body and neck, and rosewood for the fingerboard. The Fishman Transducer is coupled with side-mounted controls featuring a four-band EQ, volume control, and phase switch. Helpfully, there is an LED indicator for the battery being engaged, or low, and it’s always good to have warning of a low battery. The standard 9v battery compartment is easily accessible on the back of the guitar. Tuners are gold-plated Grover Roto-Matics and work well.

❌SOLD❌ Albert J Litto 7 Course Renaissance Lute, 1965

❌SOLD❌ Albert J Litto 7 Course Renaissance Lute, 1965

Here we have an Albert J Litto 7 Course Renaissance Lute, built during 1965 in Kenmore, New York.  This lovely Renaissance lute demonstrates many traditional construction techniques. The bowl back is composed of flamed maple ribs, bent and joined. Inside the bowl, the ribs are sealed with parchment tape, made wet to induce expansion, then coated with hide glue. The water on the inside forces the ribs to curve from side to side, and the hardening glue keeps them in this shape.
