❌SOLD❌ Gibson ES339 Thinline Vintage Sunburst, 2011

❌SOLD❌ Gibson ES339 Thinline Vintage Sunburst, 2011

This very clean Gibson ES339 Thinline Archtop Electric in Antique Vintage Sunburst was built during 2011 at the now-closed Memphis plant. Based on the successful ES-335, the ES-339 scales down the body width and length while maintaining the scale length and neck width. The result is a very comfortable and extremely versatile guitar with classic looks. Construction of the Gibson ES339 Thinline Archtop Electric follows the pattern of Gibson’s ES models and how that was adapted to the ground-breaking 1958 ES-335. From the late 1940’s, Gibson started using Maple Laminates for the top, back and sides of their electrified archtops in an effort to reduce both feedback and costs.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Hummingbird Faded Cherry Sunburst, 2007

The Gibson Hummingbird is one of the most recognizable guitar models with its square-shoulder dreadnought body and distinctive hand-painted pickguard. Introduced in 1960 to compete with Martin’s square shoulder guitars, the Hummingbird debuted at the second highest price for Gibson acoustics just below the J-200. It has been used by many top artists on countless recordings and stages.  The Hummingbird features a Sitka Spruce top paired with tropical Mahogany for the sides, back, body blocks and neck. Indian Rosewood is used for the bridge and bound fingerboard.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Junior Sunburst, 1954

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Junior Sunburst, 1954

Here we have a wonderful rarity! One of the first Gibson Les Paul Junior Sunburst models built, from 1954 when the Junior was introduced. Intended as an entry level, student model, the Gibson Les Paul Junior Sunburst – the only finish it came in – was a bare-bones but high quality guitar with Tropical Mahogany for the body and neck, and Rosewood for the fingerboard; for most if not all of the Junior’s production run between 1954 and 1963 when it was discontinued, this meant Brazilian Rosewood. Position markers are simple Mother of Pearl dots.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul DC Standard Amber, 2005

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul DC Standard Amber, 2005

Drawing from the late 1950s double cutaway models, the Gibson Les Paul DC Standard features a heavily figured Maple cap on a Mahogany slab body, and Maple neck with bound, 24 fret Rosewood fingerboard and gold plated hardware. The hardware on this example is gold plated, with Grover Roto-Matic tuners at the head and an ABR/Stop Tailpiece set on the body. The neck pickup is shifted slightly towards the bridge, compared to a single cutaway Les Paul, to accommodate the longer 24 fret fingerboard. A pair of humbucking pickups feed to a standard 3-way switch, from there to a single Volume and Tone control, and finally to a side-mounted output jack.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Studio T New Old Stock Red, 2016

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Studio T New Old Stock Red, 2016

This Gibson Les Paul Studio T, “new old stock” from 2017 features a fast playing slim taper neck and a modern weight relieved body for a lighter instrument and enhanced resonance. The two humbuckers used on the Gibson Les Paul Studio T are the classic 490R at the neck and 498T  in the bridge position. These are a bit hotter than some other Gibson humbuckers, and can really push the front end of an amp for searing crunch and sustain. The classic two volume and two tone control layout adds independent coil tapping for the pickups so you can get single coil style sounds for more tonal versatility.
