❌SOLD❌ Hartel Boucher Banjo Maple, 2008

This Hartel Boucher banjo dates to 2008 and is in very good condition. It features a solid Maple neck with the distinctive Boucher headstock, and what look just like Ebony friction pegs but are in fact excellent PegHed geared tuners.    The 12 inch pot has six cast brass Boucher style brackets, and an Ebony tailpiece. This is a fretless instrument, so the precise scale length varies with bridge placement.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson ES 150D Double Cutaway Archtop Electric Walnut, 1972

❌SOLD❌ Gibson ES 150D Double Cutaway Archtop Electric Walnut, 1972

Here’s a rarity – the Gibson ES 150D, a double cutaway, full depth hollow body archtop electric built around 1972 at the Kalamazoo plant during the Norlin years. Drawing inspiration from the venerable ES-150 model – introduced in 1936 with the ‘Charlie Christian’ pickup and built until 1956 – the Gibson ES-150D is unusual. In 1958, the all-new thinline, semi-hollow ES-335 and 345 were introduced and started the final decline of the popular full depth archtop.

❌SOLD❌ Martin M38 Steel String Guitar Natural, 1977

❌SOLD❌ Martin M38 Steel String Guitar Natural, 1977

The Martin M38 uses Martin’s largest non-dreadnought body design, sometimes called the ‘0000’ body because of its size and balanced shape. Martin’s M body draws from a guitar built for David Bromberg by Matt Umanov in the 1960s, which itself is a flat-top conversion of a Martin F-7, an archtop model built between 1935 and 1939, and from 1941 into 1942. The M38 was built from 1977 to 1997, as the 0000-38 from 1997 to 1998, and again as the M38 from 2007 to 2011. Currently Martin builds the M36 as a standard model.
