❌SOLD❌ Fender Jazz Bass Black, 1973

❌SOLD❌ Fender Jazz Bass Black, 1973

Introduced in 1960, the Fender Jazz Bass was intended to provide a more accurate simulation of an acoustic bass sound, aimed squarely at jazz players. Here we’re looking at a Fender Jazz Bass from 1973 in a black poly finish; prior to 1968, these basses received a nitrocellulose lacquer finish.

❌SOLD❌ Martin D-16A Ash Body Dreadnought Natural, 1988

Built in a run of 818 guitars from 1987 to 1990, the Martin D-16A is a traditional dreadnought built with Ash for the sides and back. The Dreadnought or D body first appeared in 1917 in guitars built for the Ditson Company of Boston. Martin first listed the D-18 in their catalog in 1931 as a 12-fret model and the 14-fret neck appeared in 1934. It became the single most common guitar size, only in recent years being challenged.

Fender Telecaster Bass Blonde, 1972 – No Longer Available

Fender Telecaster Bass Blonde, 1972 - No Longer Available

The Fender Telecaster Bass launched in the surprisingly late year of 1968, though its appearance is very much like the original, revolutionary 1951 Precision Bass. From a modern perspective, there isn’t a lot to the Fender Telecaster Bass. It is basically an ash or alder slab body with a one-piece maple neck bolted to it, a bridge, and from 1968 to 1972 a single coil pickup with volume and tone controls.

❌SOLD❌ Collings MF F-Style Mandolin Dark Satin Burst 2016

The Collings MF is a visually simplified yet extremely high quality instrument, based on the classic F style carved top and back mandolins from the early years of the Twentieth Century. Building in Austin, Texas, Collings produces very well built guitars and mandolins, and their nitrocellulose lacquer finish quality is second to none.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Standard Iced Tea Burst, 2001

Seen here is a very Gibson Les Paul Standard in Iced Tea Burst finish built during 2001 in Nashville, TN. While its top is somewhat plain, it has everything else that’s made the Les Paul an enduring classic. While the Les Paul was introduced in 1952, the Les Paul Standard named as such didn’t appear until 1958 after Gibson’s new Humbucking pickups were installed to 1957 models.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson ES Les Paul Light Burst, 2014

❌SOLD❌ Gibson ES Les Paul Light Burst, 2014

Coming from the now shuttered Memphis plant in 2014, the Gibson ES Les Paul combined classic Les Paul aesthetics with the immensely successful thinline ES concept. Along with the plant, this model has, as such, been discontinued by Gibson’s new management. The new ES-235 is perhaps its replacement in this class. Here we’re looking at a very, clean Gibson ES Les Paul sporting a Light Burst finish. There is very little wear of any type, to the frets, fingerboard, finish or plating.
