❌SOLD❌ Fender ‘Sting’ Precision Bass Reissue Sunburst, 2010

❌SOLD❌ Fender 'Sting' Precision Bass Reissue Sunburst, 2010

The Fender ‘Sting’ Precision Bass was issued between 2001 and 2013, built in Japan and reproducing the 1953 Precision bass used by Sting on recordings and tours with The Police.
Introduced in 1951, the Fender Precision bass is a landmark instrument, and influenced the way that music is performed and presented. Easily and consistently providing a precise pitch – hence the ‘Precision’ name – was a new concept for bassists, who all used upright, acoustic fretless instruments. And not only was the pitch predictable, the bass was portable!

❌SOLD❌ Ibanez JS1000 Joe Satriani Black Pearl, 2005

The Ibanez JS1000 Joe Satriani model was built from 1994 to 2014 and for much of that time available in the Black Pearl finish seen here. Joe Satriani has been highly influential for decades, dating back to giving Steve Vai and Kirk Hammett lessons and on to his own work as a sideman and successful solo career. There’s a lot to like in the Ibanez JS1000. The design is very effective, and based on the real needs of a highly skilled performer.

❌SOLD❌ Ibanez AS80 Artist Thinline Electric Cherry, 1983

❌SOLD❌ Ibanez AS80 Artist Thinline Electric Cherry, 1983

Produced in the early 1980’s in Japan and not as common as the much fancier AS100 and AS200 models, the Ibanez AS80 was the equivalent of an ES-335. This guitar is from the period when Ibanez fully established themselves as a builder of high quality guitars that were not simply straight copies of US models. Built using maple laminates for the body, and solid maple for the center block and rosewood-fingerboard neck, the AS80 is a straight ahead thinline archtop electric lacking the ‘bling’ of the higher-numbered models.

❌SOLD❌ M. Sakurai No.8 Classical Guitar, 1977

❌SOLD❌ M. Sakurai No.8 Classical Guitar, 1977

The M. Sakurai No.8 classical guitar was part of a line of guitars built by Masaki Sakurai as he was learning in the workshop run by his uncle, Masaru Kohno. The M. Sakurai No.8 is built using solid Cedar tops and laminate Indian Rosewood for the back and sides, and solid Rosewood for the headplate and bridge. The Mahogany neck carries an Ebony fingerboard, and is joined to the body with a dovetail joint, departing from the ‘slipper heel’ found on traditionally built Spanish guitars.
