NO LONGER AVAILABLE!!! Gibson Collector's Choice #7 1960 Les Paul "Shanks", 2013

A great instrument and rarity, the Gibson Collector’s Choice™ #7 1960 Les Paul “Shanks”, based on exhaustive examination of the original piece. From 2010 to 2017, Gibson released 40 Collector’s Choice models, all drawn from original examples. This Gibson Collector’s Choice™ #7 example was one of 300 built during 2013 at Gibson Nashville and is in excellent condition – but as it reproduces a vintage instrument, it does not look like it did when new in 1960!

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Standard Honey Burst, 2011

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Standard Honey Burst, 2011

The Gibson Les Paul Standard from 2011 is a bit different from a number of other years, based on a chambered Mahogany body. At 8 pounds, this is one of the lightest Les Paul Standards around – and it looks great. Dating to March 09, 2011 and built in Nashville, this Gibson Les Paul Standard with Honey Burst finish looks a lot like a lovely early Burst with a nicely but not wildly flamed bookmatched Maple top.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Special Tobacco Sunburst, 1977

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Special Tobacco Sunburst, 1977

Introduced in 1955 as an intermediate model, the two-pickup, single cutaway Gibson Les Paul Special’s main difference from the GoldTop Les Paul was the lack of a carved Maple top. This model followed the entry level, single P-90 pickup Les Paul Junior that appeared in 1954. Both models used ‘slab’ Mahogany bodies, Mahogany necks and Rosewood fingerboards – at the time, Brazilian Rosewood.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Model Gold Top, 1952

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Les Paul Model Gold Top, 1952

In 1952, the Gibson Les Paul Model made its first appearance as a single cutaway, solid body guitar with the now-standard combination of a carved Maple cap on a Mahogany body, with a Mahogany neck and Rosewood fingerboard. The available finish was a metallic gold top with clear lacquer over the rest of the guitar. The earliest models had an un-bound fingerboard, but this quickly changed to a bound fingerboard. At the time, ‘Rosewood’ came from Brazil.
