The Trussart SteelDeville pays homage to a classic single cutaway body shape that many players are familiar with. What may not be familiar is the super cool vibe of the antique copper body. This is a totally different kind of “Heavy Metal.” This unique guitar features a perforated “Holey Metal” back which helps to reduce the weight by approximately 1/2 pound. The “59” profile neck shape has substance and feels equally at home for blues bends and faster single note alternate picking. The electronic configuration is instantly familiar with two volume and tone controls and a three way pickup selector. The Arcane Inc humbuckers are clones of vintage Patent Applied for Pickups and produce smooth and creamy clean tones all the way to a snarling growl when cranked up! Out of all of the acoustic guitar builders who have added solidbody electric guitars to their line in recent years, Jean Larrivee has to be the most experienced. For seven years in the ’80s, Jean switched production largely to solidbody electrics and produced a very respected line that included the bolt-on-neck LS & LT series, as well as a very well received neck-thru RS series that culminated in the RS-4 with carved highly flamed maple tops! Even though the shop had a lot of fun creating sometimes wild new body styles and graphic finishes, these were very serious musical instruments that displayed all of the attention to detail that has distinguished Jean’s work throughout his long career.

World renowned jazz guitarist John Pisano personally designed his signature Eastman John Pisano AR680CE model from top to bottom with all of the features he ever wanted in a guitar. John collaborated with noted pickup designer Kent Armstrong to design a humbucking pickup that covers the complete tonal spectrum and makes this guitar sound as good plugged in as it does acoustically.
