This instrument is apparently one of the earliest Strandberg Bodens built in the USA, and as such it has no serial number. The Strandberg Boden design is quite flexible and allows Strandberg to quickly configure a guitar for pretty much any number of strings. In this case, there are eight, in a ‘Hard Tail’ format.

MORE →It’s unusual enough to come across 10 string classical guitar, but far more so to find one built by Siavash Tahmasebi in Iran. This is a top quality, concert grade guitar showing strong Spanish and other European influences, from the instrument concept itself to the label using Spanish terms, to the closely mitred purfling. The slotted peghead is distinctive, and likely helps to balance the instrument.
