❌SOLD❌ Ibanez AS80 Artist Thinline Electric Cherry, 1983

❌SOLD❌ Ibanez AS80 Artist Thinline Electric Cherry, 1983

Produced in the early 1980’s in Japan and not as common as the much fancier AS100 and AS200 models, the Ibanez AS80 was the equivalent of an ES-335. This guitar is from the period when Ibanez fully established themselves as a builder of high quality guitars that were not simply straight copies of US models. Built using maple laminates for the body, and solid maple for the center block and rosewood-fingerboard neck, the AS80 is a straight ahead thinline archtop electric lacking the ‘bling’ of the higher-numbered models.

❌SOLD❌ Dean Hardtail Limited Edition Purple 30/100, 2001

❌SOLD❌ Dean Hardtail Limited Edition Purple 30/100, 2001

Introduced in 2001, the Dean HardTail is one of the less common Dean models. Not as wild as some of Dean Zelinsky’s designs, the HardTail is a straight ahead but classy guitar. Dean Zelinsky founded his company in 1976 in Chicago, Illinois and began producing guitars using inventive and radical shapes. THese often drew on designs such as the Explorer and Flying V, but only as a starting point; they were much more visually arresting in terms of shapes and finishes. Dean guitars quickly became popular with major acts on the world’s largest stages.

❌SOLD❌ Fender Telecaster Blonde Maple Neck, 1973

❌SOLD❌ Fender Telecaster Blonde Maple Neck, 1973

The Fender Telecaster blonde is arguably one of the most significant musical instruments ever produced, and certainly the most successful. Produced without major changes for closing in on 70 years, the Telecaster and its original translucent blonde finish has been used for nearly every genre of music.  The first production examples of what became the Telecaster and its Esquire version appeared in 1950. Since then, wood selections, pickup construction and hardware have evolved somewhat, but the basic design is unchanged.
