❌SOLD❌ Alhambra 7FS CT E2 Thinline Cutaway Flamenco Guitar Natural, 2010

The Alhambra 7FS takes Flamenco into the future with a cutaway thin (CT) body and a Fishman Prefix Pro Blend (E2) dual pickup and microphone system. The 7FS model has been replaced by the 7FC, with updates to the bracing system and appointments. Alhambra guitars are built in Muro de Alcoy, Alicante, Spain, a smaller city at the foot of the Serra de Mariola mountain range – about 95 km south of Valencia. In operation since 1965, Alhambra has grown into one of the largest builders of classical and flamenco guitars.

❌SOLD❌ Eduardo Ferrer Flamenco Blanca Guitar, 1970

Flamenco has very deep roots in Spanish culture and there have been many influential Spanish builders of both and Flamenco and Classical guitars. There are two basic types of Flamenco models, Blanca and Negra – light and dark. Flamenco Blanca guitars are typically built using Cypress for the back and sides, a light, brilliant wood while Flamenco Negra instruments often use Palisandro, more commonly known as Rosewood.

❌SOLD❌ Fender Sting Precision Bass Sunburst, 2004

❌SOLD❌ Fender Sting Precision Bass Sunburst, 2004

The Fender Sting Precision Bass is based on the 1953 bass used by Gordon Sumner – Sting – on his recording and performances with The Police and solo work. It was built between 2001 and 2013 at the Fuji Gen plant in Matsumoto, Japan for Fender Japan. Introduced in 1951, the Fender Precision bass is a landmark instrument, and influenced the way that music is performed and presented. Easily and consistently providing a precise pitch – hence the ‘Precision’ name – was a new concept for bassists, who all used upright, acoustic fretless instruments.

❌SOLD❌ Linda Manzer Cutaway Steel String Guitar Natural 1980

❌SOLD❌ Linda Manzer Cutaway Steel String Guitar Natural 1980

Here we are looking at a Linda Manzer cutaway steel string acoustic built during 1980 in Toronto. It features a concert body using Sitka Spruce top with Indian Rosewood for the back, sides and headplate, Mahogany for the neck and Ebony for the bridge and bound fingerboard. The nut and saddle are bone. Schaller tuning machines with ebony buttons are installed at the head, and a K&K pickup set has been installed to an endpin jack. This example features Abalone for the rosette and position markers – a mix of dots and a leaflet with stem. The top has a small thin clear plastic tap plate, an excellent idea that protects the top without hiding it.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Moderne Heritage Limited Edition, 1982

❌SOLD❌ Gibson Moderne Heritage Limited Edition, 1982

Here’s one of the rarest of all Gibson guitars – the Gibson Moderne, designed and registered in 1958 but not put into production until 1982! The Gibson Moderne, however, existed only in design or a vanishingly small number of prototypes – which did in fact vanish. The Moderne was a thing of legend until 1982, with the introduction of the ‘Heritage’ series and the Gibson Moderne Heritage, built as the originals were, of Korina or African Limba (technically named Terminalia Superba).
