Here we have a Gibson J185 Original Jumbo bodied steel string in Antique Natural finish, built during 2005 at the Gibson Acoustic plant in Bozeman, Montana. The J-185 is a very good but likely under-appreciated guitar, being overshadowed by the better known and slightly larger J-200. The Gibson J185 and J200 have many similarities and the key differences are not always seen at first glance. Both feature the Jumbo body shape, Sitka Spruce top with Figured Maple for the sides and back, and Rosewood for the fingerboard and bridge.

Here we’re looking at a Gibson S1 built in Nashville TN, with a date of April 19 1978. This guitar is built exclusively of Maple, used for the three-piece body, three-piece neck, and fingerboard. This example is in largely original condition, except for the bridge pickup. Some time ago, the original single coil was removed, put in the case, and replaced with what looks like a Duncan Hot Rails.

The Knaggs Kenai model takes its name from Alaska’s Kenai River and is a single-cut solidbody with a carved Maple top on a Mahogany back. Built in Greensboro, Maryland since 2019 in the shop of Joe Knaggs, the Knaggs Kenai is a guitar that has its own distinct look yet carries influences from Knagg’s 25 years as a designer and luthier at PRS.

The Gibson SG Standard Bass is a rebuild of the classic Gibson EB-3 basses used from 1953 into the mid 1960’s, particularly by Jack Bruce in Cream. Gibson introduced their first electric bass in 1953, the violin-shaped Gibson Electric Bass as a response to Fender’s ground-breaking 1951 Precision Bass.

❌SOLD❌ Rickenbacker Model 360 JetGlo, 2001

The Rickenbacker Model 360 is an iconic instrument designed by Roger Rossmeisl in 1958 as a flat-topped, thin hollow body model with top and back binding. Halfway through 1964, the Rickenbacker Model 360 gained a New Style body to further differentiate the 360 from the 330. The New Style body is Maple, but has a chambered top with very rounded edges and integrated sides.

This beautiful Gibson Les Paul Standard, built during 2005, sports a nicely figured Maple top set off by a Sienna Burst finish. This example is very resonant and very solid, with no apparent weight relief. Following the original combination of a carved Maple top on a Mahogany back and a Mahogany neck with Rosewood fingerboard, this Gibson Les Paul Standard Sienna is in overall good condition with light wear to the back from contact with the player’s clothing.
