Drawing from a classic 1930s design, the Collings Orchestra Model OM1 is ideal for finger stylists and flatpickers alike. This Collings Orchestra Model OM1 dates to 2008 and is in good condition, with great action and a good neck set. This model is built using the pairing of a Sitka Spruce top with Tropical Mahogany for the sides, back, body blocks and neck, and Ebony for the bridge fingerboard and head plate.

This wonderful guitar reflects all the features and quality of Huss & Dalton instruments. Based on the Traditional Orchestra Model or OM design that dates to the late 1920s and using Rosewood for the sides and back, this TOM R Custom also sports a ‘Thermo-Cured’ Adirondack Red Spruce top with Herringbone purfling and a vintage-amber tint.

❌SOLD❌ Yamaha SG2000 Solidbody Sunburst, 1982

Introduced in 1976, the Yamaha SG2000 was considered perhaps the finest solidbody guitar from Japan – perhaps from anywhere – for its time. This design was the result of a collaboration between Yamaha and Carlos Santana to improve the Yamaha SG175. The result became the flagship of the Yamaha electric line until 1988. Around 1983, Gibson gave legal notice to Yamaha over the use of the ‘SG’ term, and Yamaha responded by changing the name for US models to SBG for Solid Body Guitar. However, in Japan, the SG name stayed until 1988 when the model was discontinued.

SOLD Gibson R8 Les Paul Tom Murphy Aged Sunburst, 2002

The Gibson R8 reproduces the famed 1958 Les Paul Standard model, the first in the line to include both a sunburst finish and the then-new PAF humbucker pickups. Launched in 1952, the Gibson Les Paul model put a carved Maple cap on a Mahogany slab, and paired that with a Mahogany neck with Rosewood fingerboard and a gold-top finish. The Les Paul custom soon followed, but without the Maple cap – the body was all Mahogany, including the carved top – and with an Ebony fingerboard and Black finish. For 1958, the Les Paul Standard appeared, using the same Maple and Mahogany construction but with a Sunburst finish.
