Here we’re looking at a very nice Fender Jaguar Offset body guitar in its original 3-tone sunburst. It’s in largely original condition and has been professionally re-fretted and set up – it’s ready to go! This example dates to 1964, with pot codes from that year, and was built at the Fender plant in Fullerton, California. It’s a Pre-CBS model, built before the sale of Fender to CBS which took effect on January 5, 1965.

MORE →The 3-tone Sunburst Fender 1965 Precision bass with Rosewood fingerboard, is in very good, original condition including both bridge and pickup covers and original case. Pairing an Alder body with a Maple neck and Indian Rosewood fingerboard, this classic bass carries all its original components (except strings). The original, black rectangular Fender hard shell case is included, and contains the bridge and pickup covers. This Fender 1965 Precision is something of a transitional model, as it has an Indian Rosewood (Dalbergia sissoo) fingerboard.

MORE →Here’s a rarity and bit of history – a MusicMan Stingray 4 Bass, built during 1978 in Fullerton, California by CLF Research for MusicMan. CLF stood for Clarence Leo Fender. MusicMan was founded in 1974 and in 1975, Leo Fender’s non-compete agreement lapsed and he became president of Music Man. Until 1979, MusicMan guitars and basses were built by Leo’s other company, CLF Research. After 1979 and until Music Man folded in 1984, Grover Jackson built the bodies and necks and assembled the instruments.

MORE →Here we have a handsome, almost all original, Fender Precision Bass Maple neck built at the CBS/Fender Fullerton plant in 1975 – the pot codes date to 1974. First appearing in October 1951, the Fender Precision bass was a brilliant piece of industrial design. This innovation brought modern influences to the bass world – such as the ability to reliably and consistently produce a precise pitch, and to play at any volume without feedback. Quickly adopted, the Precision Bass was updated in 1954 to visually match the new Stratocaster, and has been in production with really only minor modifications since then. The P-Bass is arguably one of the most functionally successful bass instruments ever built, having appeared on more recordings and stages than any other bass.
