The Gibson LP Custom – the Les Paul  Custom – appeared in 1954 and aside from 1963 to 1968 has been part of the Les Paul Lineup since then in various forms. Aside from specialty models like the Supreme, it’s always been the top of the Les Paul line, with gold plated hardware, extra binding and more Mother of Pearl inlays.  Some versions after the 1957 introduction of the new humbucking pickup,  sported three pickups.

❌SOLD❌ Martin 00-18 Steel String Guitar Natural, 1950

Here is a lovely Martin 0018 steel string guitar built during April of 1950, very glossy and having had a neck reset for great playability! As an ’18’ style model, the Martin 0018 construction features a Spruce top (Sitka since the early 1940’s) and Mahogany for the sides, back, body blocks and neck. The bridge, fingerboard and head plate are Rosewood – and as this guitar was built before 1967, that means Brazilian Rosewood.

This model was in production until Gretsch folded in 1981, reappeared between 1995 and 1999 as a US built reissue, and again since 2001 as a pro-line model, Made in Japan by Terada. Modern Country Club production no longer has the solid Spruce top – like other pro-line hollow body Gretsch models, the body is now built of laminate Maple.
