MORE →Here is a lovely Deering Calico Blonde 5-String banjo, built in Lemon Grove California, just before Deering Moved to Spring Valley. Deering started business as a banjo company in 1974, working from a shop in Lemon Grove, California. By 2001, the business had grown and new premises were opened just a few miles east in Spring Valley.

MORE →Here’s a Deering Sierra Mahogany 5-string banjo in satin finish, a couple of years old and in very nice condition. The Sierra is one of Deering’s most popular banjos for good reason – it’s an excellent instrument. The Deering Sierra Mahogany is also available in Maple. Both versions carry a host of high-end features that are very meaningful in terms of tone and playability , but have less decoration than higher-priced models.

MORE →The Deering Tenbrooks Legacy banjo is a professional grade instrument combining Mahogany for the neck and resonator with Maple for the tone ring. This example dates to 2004, built in Spring Valley California, and has a rather low serial number – 0020. It is in overall good shape, but it has definitely been used as intended and there is moderate fret wear and a few small scuffs around the resonator.
