The Cervantes Rodriguez PE is built in the traditional style after the work of Manuel Rodriguez II, who worked in Madrid, in his own shop and in the shop of Jose Ramirez II. His descendants are still building today.

Alejandro Cervantes has been building and playing classical guitar for decades now. We’re pleased to see another of his guitars, a 2013 Cervantes Hauser Concert classical guitar, in our shop.

The Cervantes Fleta Signature classical guitar is part of the top range of Cervantes production. Based on the designs developed by Ignacio Fleta in the late 1950’s and 1960’s, these guitars feature stiffer tops and more robust construction, and of course specialized bracing patterns. They are characterized by a strong, warm, full tone with a lot of projection and volume available.

The model that we’re featuring today is from Alejandro Cervante’s Concert Series,  and is the very first “serious student” level instrument we have been able to offer with the unique negative neck angle Milenia style construction.  This guitar features a stunning premium Engelmann spruce top with Palo Escrito back & sides,  attractive marquetry & rosette and a 12-hole bridge tie-block.
