❌SOLD❌ Ramirez SP Semi-Professional Spruce Top Classical Guitar, 2003

❌SOLD❌ Ramirez SP Semi-Professional Spruce Top Classical Guitar, 2003

The Ramirez SP, now the Semi-Professional model, bridges the ‘Estudio’ and ‘Handcraft’ classical guitars and is intended for the accomplished student player about to move to professional status. Like other ‘Estudio’ models, the Semi-Professional is partly built in the city of Madrid at the Ramirez shop – it’s worth noting that Madrid prohibits spray finishing and so that type of finishing is done at shops outside the city limits.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson ES-175D Sunburst, 1967

The Gibson ES-175D was the most common variant of this workhorse archtop, and first appeared in 1953. The D indicated Double Pickups, and the original single pickup version was made in smaller numbers until 1971. The ES-175 was produced from 1949 until 2017, and appeared on countless stages and recordings. Based on a single cutaway, 16.25 inch wide but full depth arched-top F hole body, the ES-175 uses Maple laminates for the body, which improves feedback rejection.

❌SOLD❌ PRS Standard 24, Trans Red 1995

The PRS Standard 24 model was introduced in 1998 and built till 2009, and was based on the very successful original PRS design, with a solid Mahogany body and Rosewood fingerboard. This example dates to 1995 and is in good original condition. Fretwear is minimal and while there are a few small dents and scratches, overall the finish is in good shape. The PRS contouring and carving makes for a very comfortable, well balanced guitar.

❌SOLD❌ Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster Sunburst, 1999

❌SOLD❌ Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster Sunburst, 1999

Here we’re looking at an early American Deluxe Stratocaster, dating to 1999 with the ‘SSS’ three single-coil configuration – or so it seems. The Vintage Noiseless single coils are actually two stacked coils in the stock cover. This rosewood-fingerboard example is in very nice condition, and the most visible wear is that the ‘noiseless’ logos has worn off the pickup covers; this happens fairly quickly. It is equipped with locking tuners, which speed up string changes and can slightly improve tuning stability through fewer wraps on the post. At this time, the locking tuners did not have staggered posts.

❌SOLD❌ Taylor 618e Grand Concert Steel String Maple, 2011

❌SOLD❌ Taylor 618e Grand Concert Steel String Maple, 2011

The Taylor 618e brings to mind the classic jumbo maple guitars used by top artists, and delivers a full, rich tone with lots of clarity and definition. Built using Taylor’s largest body shape like the jumbo Guilds and Gibson J-200 models, the 618e pairs a Sitka Spruce top with flamed Maple for the back, sides, and neck. Ebony is used for the bridge and bound fingerboard and headplate. The Taylor logo and fingerboard inlays are Mother of Pearl, and the linings, neck and tail blocks are Mahogany.

❌SOLD❌ Warren Yates Ron Stewart Signature Banjo, 2011

❌SOLD❌ Warren Yates Ron Stewart Signature Banjo, 2011

The Warren Yates Ron Stewart signature banjo is built in Hickory, North Carolina, and goes for the tone and feel of a 1930s model. Created in close consultation with Ron Stewart, this model features at its core a custom pre-war spec tone ring – the ‘Venom V33’ – and a Mahogany rim. Yates tries to make every part, with the resonators shaped and rims bent in-house. This example dates to August 2011 and is in overall very good condition.
