This fantastic instrument is pre-sold, but we wanted to share it. It’s a brand new Gibson Clapton Firebird, number 100 of just 100 built to re-create Clapton’s 1964 Firebird I as used in Cream. Gibson introduced the Firebird in 1963, initially using neck-through construction – while the neck section is built of several sections of Mahogany separated by Walnut for stability, it extends the full length of the guitar.

Taylor 510E Dreadnought Steel String, 2016

The Taylor 510E is now discontinued, so this is one of the last ‘as new’ examples you’re likely to find. It is built on the classic Spruce top, Mahogany back and side formula that works so well for fingerstyle and flatpicking. Here, it’s paired with a slotted headstock, which increases downbearing at the nut, and hence open string sustain and separation, without increasing head pitch.

The Pagelli Signature Series, designed in Switzerland by Claudio and Claudia Pagelli, is handcrafted in the Eastman workshop of premium AAA spruce & deeply flamed maple. The Eastman PG2 Pagelli features a striking ebony tailpiece, ebony finger rest, unique full contact ebony floating bridge with bone saddle insert, Kent Armstrong HJGS6-BK suspended pickup with adjustable pole pieces and pickguard mounted volume & tone controls.

❌SOLD❌ Deering Sierra Maple 5-String Banjo, 2010

This excellent Deering Sierra banjo dates to December of 2010 and was built at the Deering shop in Spring Garden, California, with capo tacks installed at frets 7, 9 and 10. The Deering Sierra Maple banjo carries a satin finish, and in this case it’s quite clean with no dents or scratches. The metal hardware is nickel plated, and unlike chrome this develops a light patina over time; the plating itself does not show any significant wear. Fret wear is light.

The Backline 734 line and in this post, the Backline 734 Birch pairs a hand-carved Birch Maple body with Roasted Maple for the neck and fingerboard, which is fitted with Stainless Steel fretwire. For hardware, Grover Roto-Matic tuners are at the head, with a Tone Pros tune-o-matic style bridge and stop tailpiece set at the body. For electronics, a pair of Seymour Duncan Phat Cat P90 style pickups feed through a 3-way toggle switch and master volume and tone.
