NO LONGER AVAILABLE!!! Guild X-170 Thinline Archtop Electric Guitar Amber, 1985

NO LONGER AVAILABLE!!! Guild X-170 Thinline Archtop Electric Guitar Amber, 1985

This first-year Guild X-170 Thinline Archtop Electric Guitar Amber is in good condition. The model seems to have gained the name ‘Mini-Manhattan’ shortly after this one was labelled. It is missing its pickguard and has a replacement compensated ebony bridge and saddle. The original Guild pickups, instantly recognisable with a three-screw adjustment system and two raised areas on the covers, have been replaced with Seymour Duncan units. All the metal parts are gold plated, and the original etched Guild harp tailpiece is in good shape. The strap pins have been replaced with Schaller style strap lock units.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson ES-339 Thinline Archtop Electric Guitar Cherry Red 2011

This is an excellent condition Gibson ES-339, this one in traditional Cherry Red and built during 2010 at the Nashville Custom Shop!  The original hard shell case and Certificate of Authenticity are included. The serial number here specifies that this ES-339 was built at Gibson Memphis Custom Shop in 2010. As a note about the serial numbering – Custom Shop serials don’t follow the rest of the company’s model. At this point the serial used CS plus six digits. The first digit is the year, starting in 2010, and the second digit is the location, with 5 being Memphis and 0 being Nashville.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson ES-339 Thinline Archtop Electric Guitar Ebony 2011

❌SOLD❌ Gibson ES-339 Thinline Archtop Electric Guitar Ebony 2011

The Gibson ES-339 uses a smaller 335 style body that was a hit from its introduction in 1996 as the ES-336. It gives all the tonal richness and versatility of the full-size ES-335, but in a more compact package. This ES-339 was built at Gibson Memphis Custom Shop in 2011. As a note about the serial numbering – Custom Shop serials don’t follow the rest of the company’s model. At this point the serial used CS plus six digits. The first digit is the year, starting in 2010, and the second digit is the location, with 5 being Memphis. So, this is a 2011 model from Memphis.

❌SOLD❌ Guild Starfire IV Thinline Archtop Electric Sunburst, 1977

❌SOLD❌ Guild Starfire IV Thinline Archtop Electric Sunburst, 1977

The Guild Starfire IV first appeared in 1963 as a semi-solid version of the Starfire I, II and III think hollow models dating to 1960. The Starfire V and V I models were further upgrades, with extra binding and inlay. Obviously taking cues from the ES-335, the Guild Starfire IV featured a body of Maple or Mahogany laminate and matching center block and neck with rosewood fingerboard. In the 1970’s some differences started to creep in. Most of the Starfire IV models have a bound rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers.

❌Sold❌ Gibson ES-175 Cutaway Archtop Electric Guitar Sunburst, 1969

❌Sold❌ Gibson ES-175 Cutaway Archtop Electric Guitar Sunburst, 1969

The Gibson ES-175 cutaway came onto the scene in 1949 as a single pickup archtop with a sharp florentine cutaway and Maple laminate body construction. The most popular electric archtop at the time was the ES-150, with carved spruce top and carved Maple back. The laminate construction of the new ES-175 was not only more affordable, but also offered better feedback resistance.
