Over time, the blonde finish darkened to a lovely butterscotch tone and when the letters were removed, the lighter finish remained. The Fender Telecaster has proven to be an excellent illustration of design fitting its purpose, and for nearly 75 years this model has been built and sold with really only minor variations.

This 24 inch scale length example is in good, complete condition and has some dents and finish wear expected after 48 years. This very cool guitar plays well looks great and sounds good. The 24 inch scale doesn’t feel very short – it is also the same scale length as the considerably more elaborate Fender Jaguar.
