❌SOLD❌ SS Stewart Flat Top Acoustic Guitar Sunburst, 1932

Built around 1932, this SS Stewart flat top acoustic guitar was one of thousands made in Chicago as players moved away from banjos and towards guitars. The venerable SS Stewart brand started before the turn of the century as a premiere banjo maker. Following Stewart’s death, the brand changed hands and by the 1930s was built by Chicago Musical Instruments, who also made Harmony and Kay guitars.

❌ SOLD ❌ Breedlove Cascade Mandolin Natural 2008

This Breedlove Cascade is likely named for the Cascade Mountains, a range that passes through Northern California, Oregon, Washington and British Columbia. It is perhaps a modified “A style” design, where the lower part of the body is teardrop shaped and the upper part has truncated horns, somewhat suggesting an “F style”. The body is built with Sitka Spruce for the carved, F-hole top, and flamed Maple for the sides, neck and carved back.

❌SOLD❌ Gibson B B King Lucille Thinline Electric Cherry Red, 1999

❌SOLD❌ Gibson B B King Lucille Thinline Electric Cherry Red, 1999

The Gibson B B King Lucille made its debut in 1980 as the B B King Custom, with features specified by the great guitarist himself. Based on the ES-355 models that King had used for years, the Lucille has a sealed, thinline body to resist feedback at high stage volumes. As B B King tended to sit next to his amps, turn them up all the way and then control volume from the guitar, feedback could be an issue.
