❌SOLD❌ Larrivee OMV 05 Steel String Guitar, 2006

The Larrivee OMV-05 combines several influences into one very nice, very responsive guitar ideal for fingerstyle. The cutaway OM body shape and size provides a well rounded, even frequency response and Jean Larrivee’s classical background appears in the 650mm scale length and fairly wide 45mm nut. Now out of production, this Larrivee OMV-05 dates to October 20, 2006 at Larrivee’s shop in Oxnard, California. It features a Sitka Spruce top paired with Central American Mahogany for the sides, back, body blocks, and neck.

❌SOLD❌ Larrivee OM 09 Steel String Guitar, 1999

❌SOLD❌ Larrivee OM 09 Steel String Guitar, 1999

The Larrivee OM 09 is based on the classic ‘Orchestra Model’ design dating to 1929, and is itself based on the 000 body size but with the upper bouts adapted to accommodate a 14-fret neck. At first, this model was named after Perry Bechtel, the prominent banjo player who custom ordered it; however, Martin soon realized that ‘Orchestra Model’ had better appeal to migrating banjo players, and never used the Bechtel name in catalogs.

❌SOLD❌ Larrivee SD60 SH Slope Shoulder Dreadnought, 2003

❌SOLD❌ Larrivee SD60 SH Slope Shoulder Dreadnought, 2003

The Larrivee SD60 SH is a take on possibly the earliest Dreadnought sized guitar designs – those built from 1916 by C F Martin for the Ditson company. At the time, guitars tended to be small, with the Parlor size being most common. The Dreadnought was an unusual size for a guitar, but sales were poor, the model was discontinued, and the model disappeared until Martin launched its D size models in 1931.
