❌SOLD❌ Fender Vibrolux Reverb Amp Blackface, 1966

Brand:

This ‘Blackface’ Fender Vibrolux Reverb Amp was built during 1966, is in good, clean condition and recently received minor service by John Fletcher.

One of the less common but highly desirable amps, the Fender Vibrolux Reverb is based around a pair of 6L6 power tubes and delivers about 35 watts through two 10-inch speakers. This model was the entry point for Fender’s use of paired 6L6 tubes, followed by the 40-watt, 2×12 Pro Reverb and the 45 watt 4×10 Super Reverb. The Twin Reverb used four power tubes for higher power.

Fender introduced the Vibrolux Reverb Amp in 1964 as part of a rework of their amplifier line, in response to the ever growing demand for volume. It is plenty loud for many applications. It is clean and chimey, but can overdrive nicely if pushed. It’s also not outrageously large or heavy (about 47.5 pounds or 21.6kg) and so is reasonable to carry around to gigs. The Vibrolux Reverb was produced until 1982.

This 1966 Blackface Fender Vibrolux Reverb Amplifier is in good working order, with a 3-prong power cable added. Comes with its original reverb/tremolo footswitch and the original Fender branded, blue Oxford 10-inch speakers.
