This is a treat – a Fender 65 Princeton Reverb Limited Edition dressed in ‘Fudge Brownie’ colours!
The Princeton was the amp of choice for many recording sessions, from Motown and Chicago to Muscle Shoals and Los Angeles. The single 10 inch speaker and relatively low power or 12 to 15 watts allowed it to sound great and play well with others in a closed room. As a bonus, it’s a compact package, easy to move from gig to gig and doesn’t take a lot of stage space.
Here we’re looking at a Fender 65 Princeton Reverb Limited Edition amp in very clean original condition, and in the ‘Fudge Brownie’ Tolex. Its QA signoff tag dates it to July 15, 2014. This version delivers 15 watts through a Jensen P10Q speaker for lovely clean tones.
As a Princeton Reverb, it has both Reverb and Tremolo controls, and foot switch jack on the back panel. This accepts the Fender 2-button vintage-style foot switch – available separately.
Here is what the manufacturer has to say about the Fender 65 Princeton Reverb Limited Edition:
“Iconic Sound and Style
The Fender 65 Princeton Reverb “Fudge Brownie” FSR looks as delectable as it sounds, with the distinctive look of rich brown textured vinyl covering, wheat grille cloth and a brown control panel.
With 15 watts of power and a single 10″ Jensen® speaker, it’s easily versatile enough to go from the living room to the recording studio to the gig with the great sound, style, reliability and authentic vintage vibe that Fender players know and love.
It’s a terrific performer, ideal for anyone who wants top-notch tube tone, naturally dynamic clean and overdriven sound, unmistakable Fender reverb and vibrato, and a deliciously one-of-a-kind look. “
