The Oahu Publishing Company of Cleveland, Ohio was founded in 1933 and by 1935 was advertising itself as the “World’s Largest Guitar Dealer”.
Oahu instruments were built by other companies, in particular Kay, Harmony and Oscar Schmidt.
The instruments were sold through catalog and mail order sales, and as well through music schools, who also used the methods the company published.
Oahu folded in the mid 1980’s but had ceased offering instruments some time before.
