NS Design is based on the name of the very influential Ned Steinberger, perhaps best known for his series of headless guitars and basses.
Based in Nobleboro, Maine, NS design instruments include a line of solidbody violins, violas, cellos, and upright bass models built in the Czech Republic in partnership with the NBE Company.
In addition to work in design, Ned Steinberger also acts as a consultant to many other companies including Gibson, Martin and D’Addario.
