Scott Milligan builds out of his shop in Toronto, Ontario, focusing on high quality steel string guitar models.
” In 2016, I completed a guitar building course with Ontario luthier, Jeremy Nicks, at the Canadian School of Lutherie (CSL) in Toronto, ON. Jeremy is a master craftsman who learned his trade from George Rizsanyi. I learned many things from Jeremy during the course, but none more important than patience and high standards.
Upon completing the course at CSL, I continued to build and develop my skills through self-study. In the summer of 2018, however, I had an opportunity to study with master luthier, Josh House, on the shores of Lake Huron in Goderich, ON. Josh’s guitars are works of art that sound as good as they look, and that is saying something! Josh started out learning from Sergei de Jonge, who started out with Jean Larrivee. I was in good company.
Today, I continue to strive to build the best instruments possible.”
