Manuel Rodriguez Sr, 1926 – 2008, learned guitar building from his father in Madrid, and in 1939 worked for Jose Ramirez II in Madrid, and in 1955 opened his own workshop. In 1959, he moved to Los Angeles, and in 1973 returned to Madrid.
