Klon products, notably the legendary Klon Centaur and newer KTR, are the work of Bill Finnegan in Somerville, Maryland.
First introduced in 1994 and built until 2004, the Klon Centaur rapidly became the gold standard for overdrive pedals. Approximately 8,000 were hand built and tuned by Finnegan over the course of 15 years. In 2014, the KTR was introduced as a model that could be built by subcontracted firms.
Klon products are so popular that delivery times extend into many months.
