Kawika Ukuleles were built by David Hurd, one of Hawaii’s most respected ukulele builders and luthiers. Hurd has been retired for some years but the Kawika ukuleles are well known for their quality and tone.
David Hurd also wrote the book “Left-Brain Lutherie: Using Physics and Enineering Concepts for Building Guitar Family Instruments : an Introductory Guide to Their Practical Application”
