Gerald Farrell, often known as Jerry Farrell, has been building classical guitars in Hamilton, Ontario since 1972 after building about 20 violins.
Farrell drew inspiration from a concert by Andres Segovia and line many other builders used the classic Irving Sloane volume, “Classical Guitar Construction”. After some time he was able to study under Jose Romanillos and Gerhard Oldiges in Spain, and now builds only classical guitars.
Along with building classical guitars, Gerald Farrell has also worked as a medical illustrator and artist.
