Graham Caldersmith has hand built high end concert classical guitars, violins, violas and cellos at his shop in Comboyne, New South Wales, Australia for over 40 years. After many years of training and work in scientific fields, apparently focusing on the study of Mars, in 1978 he became a full-time luthier. However, he took advantage of his research background to study the characteristics of violin and guitar sound production.
Caldersmith classical guitars have pioneered the use of lattice bracing and double tops, both of which produce an extraordinary amount of volume without sacrificing tone. They are extremely well made and sought after.
