American Arcthop is run by Dale Unger, who developed a passion for guitars growing up near the Martin plant in Nazareth PA.
After building a number of instruments with Dick Boak of Martin, Unger was introduced to master luthier Robert Benedetto and spent years working with him.
Dale Unger now runs the American Archtop company in Stroudsberg, PA, the Nazareth Guitar Institute which provides instruction in Archtop design and construction, and Unger Electrics.
