The reorientation of the neck, body and bridge makes for a dramatically different sounding Grand Concert. The bridge being shifted farther back on the lower bout provides a blend between modern and vintage tonal flavors. The midrange on this guitar is rich and warm and the treble frequencies have a distinctive snap and brilliance. In some ways this guitar may sound a little more like a vintage martin than the typical Taylor sound. In Bob's own words "It's soft, easy, warm, folky, bassy and loud. Call Joan Baez so she can sing us a folk song."
